Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is a Ghanaian politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur with a strong background in law, commerce, and public policy. He currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi and is widely recognized for his impactful contributions to governance, economic policy, and legal reform in Ghana.<\/p>

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana Law School and is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana & currently pursing a PHD in Economics at the Loughborough University in UK. \u00a0He also has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School and a bachelor\u2019s degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast. \u00a0<\/p>

Kojo is currently serving his third term as MP for Ofoase Ayirebi. In the 9th Parliament of Ghana, he serves as the Ranking Member on the Economy, leveraging his expertise in finance and policy. Additionally, he manages his private law firm, combining his legal acumen with public service. \u00a0<\/p>

Previously, as Minister for Information, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah\u2019s administration developed new channels for managing Government communications, including regular national briefings, digital retail communication channels, and proactive engagements on government policies and programs. His reforms at the Information Services Department transformed the 80-year-old institution into a modern-day research and public education vehicle for Government. He is credited with the smooth implementation of Ghana\u2019s Right to Information Act since its passage. \u00a0<\/p>

Later, as Minister for Works and Housing, he contributed to infrastructure and housing policy before concluding his tenure. \u00a0\u00a0Mr. Oppong Nkrumah also played a pivotal role as a member of the government delegation that negotiated the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to support Ghana\u2019s economic recovery and reform efforts.\u00a0<\/p>

In his constituency, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah\u2019s Education and Skills Development Fund has provided scholarships to over 450 beneficiaries since 2017, along with the construction and maintenance of schools. He has also attracted key national projects and institutions to Ofoase Ayirebi. \u00a0<\/p>

In 2020, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was selected as one of the world\u2019s 115 Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum (WEF), a prestigious recognition awarded to individuals under the age of 40 who are making significant contributions to shaping the future of global affairs.<\/p>

In Parliament, he remains a strong public policy advocate, making significant contributions to annual budgets and economic policy since 2017. \u00a0<\/p>

A devoted fan of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, he is married to his beloved Akua Oppong-Nkrumah and they have four children.
